Wat doe je als Associate Accounting Specialist?
The Associate Accounting Sepcialist leads the Invoicing Coordination Team, who ensures that Dow Customers’ invoices are timely and accurately created, validated, posted, distributed and archived.
Plays a primary role in the Order to Cash process and ensures accuracy and integrity of all accounting transactions related to the invoicing process.
This role requires good communication with the following organizations:
OR&H (Order Receipt and Handling)
European Credit Financial Services
Internal and external Business partners
Collections, Disputes and Sales Adjustments team
What are you going to do as Associate Accounting Specialist?
Provide 1st and 2nd level support to the Invoicing Coordinators
In-depth knowledge of SAP Invoicing functionality and transactions, including invoice distribution technology (GID)
In-depth knowledge of order entry, freight application process and customer master
Support Audit requirements: e.g.: Tax-Audits, Internal and External Audits
Define Invoicing Guidelines and Procedures in line with PRH and Credit-Department and F&S, where needed.
Implement changes that optimize Invoicing Process
Implementation, Integration and Consolidation of Merger and Acquisitions related activities into the service center
Coordination of divestitures
Correctly applying VAT rules, keep current and implement changes to these rules
Ensure accuracy and integrity of all resulting accounting transactions
Provide support to Business Partners and the Collections, Disputes & Sales Adjustments team
Communication with Business Partners and the Collections, Disputes & Sales Adjustments team
Thorough understanding and application of Internal Controls
Wat kun je?
Minimum of 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience
Knowledge of SAP
Strong computer skills
Fluent in English (both written and spoken) and preferably other languages
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, finance or other related education
Strong knowledge of Value Added Tax guidelines
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with and motivate others in a team environment
Able to work in a global team environment made up of a cross section of disciplines (both technical and non-technical).
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
